A more consideredway to organisethe home.

Soft Existence is built around the idea that practical home objects should never feel ordinary. Every container, basket and candle is presented like a design piece: refined, tactile and calm.

Powder-coated steel canisters for tea, coffee and sugar, hand-woven cotton baskets that tidy the small things, and soy candles that mark the slow hours. Practical every day, calm to look at.

Woven Cotton Basket Set photographed by Eliane

Looks like furniture

I needed somewhere for the throws that was not a plastic box. This sits by the armchair and looks chosen rather than practical. The corner finally looks finished.

Better than flowers, finally

She is hard to buy for. The blush glass is nicer in person than in the photos and it arrives boxed, so no wrapping. She keeps mentioning the coffee and vanilla. It has moved to her bedside table, which I am taking as a pass.

Golden Hour Scented Soy Candle, Cinnamon & Bergamot photographed by Aya

I have thrown out a lot of candles

Most of them smell of nothing after the first hour. This one still fills the room on evening three. Cinnamon and bergamot could have gone sickly very easily and it has not.

Burns flat to the edge if you let the first burn run long.

Quiet

Good proportions. Natural top, woven band, handles built into the weave so nothing sticks out. Holds its shape when full. Sits on an open shelf without becoming the first thing you look at. That was the whole requirement.

Bloom Scented Soy Candle, Pomegranate & Pink Pepper photographed by Mariana

I have a chair by the window that is only for reading, and this sits on the table beside it now. Small, sculptural, and the flower on the lid is properly made rather than moulded. The scent does not carry through the whole flat, it just softens the room you are actually in. I am keeping the pot.
